The ITV will apply a new regulation for vehicles registered during the year 2006 onwards.

With the entry of the new school year there are changes in the inspections of the vehicles, who, following the rules of the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure, have limited the revisions of cars registered in 2006 onwards, being more restrictive in their achievement, to avoid accidents and mechanical failures in vehicles of more than 10 years, furthermore, it is seeking to comply with the new European standard for CO2 emissions.

Here we leave the novelties that will be applied during this month:

– Reviews:They will be done at 4 years, but, if the vehicle has suffered a serious accident, the vehicle will be obliged to pass a technical inspection in a compulsory manner to certify that it is in perfect condition.

– Station: If the driver suspends the inspection on the first visit, you can change stations, and look for a different one on your second visit.

– Electronic:The ITV already has electronic systems to connect to the vehicle switchboard, it will avoid the fraud of the workshops that electronically modify the car to overcome the inspection.

– Emissions: As we have indicated, it is going to harden the emission of CO2 to the atmosphere, controlling the vehicles that use tricks and placing false filters to overcome the revision.

It is important to remember that these modifications will not be an additional cost in the ITV review.

Remember that if you want your vehicle to pass your technical inspection correctly you only have to take a previous appointment and we’ll do a full check so you don’t have any future problems.
